As the 2007 President, I welcome you to our website. Please take a few minutes to peruse our site and see what a great variety of activities and events are available to visitors to our community. Whether your interest lies in our lakes, our local golf course or perhaps the shopping and restaurants, I know you will find your time enjoyable in Franklin Parish.

Winnsboro has a population of over 5,000 people and continues to be a regional commerce "hub" for surrounding communities both within and without Franklin Parish. Franklin Parish is the heart of "Cotton Country" in northeast Louisiana , and is a place where "country living" is more than just a metaphor.

Currently, we have the largest US flag in the state flying proudly and hopefully you are fortunate enough to see it and all of our flags on display during a holiday or special occasion.

The Winnsboro-Franklin Parish Chamber of Commerce has an active role in the development of Winnsboro and Franklin Parish. As a result of the Chamber’s efforts, the annual Catfish Festival draws thousands to downtown Winnsboro each April. As well, thousands of dollars are awarded to deserving high school seniors every spring at the annual Franklin Parish Academic Banquet. Each fall at the Franklin Parish "Shop At Home Fair", residents are encouraged to patronize local merchants.

But perhaps our best quality is the Chamber's continued enhancement of our sense of community. Throughout the year, our civic clubs, churches, organizations, and businesses undertake a host of community service projects, the success of which cannot be overstated. Many of these projects have been around for years, and still others are being planned for the future.

These acts of community involvement are our identity in Franklin Parish. The Chamber of Commerce helps educate businesses and individuals on the issues impacting their lives, helping them work together to help improve all aspects of community life by way of their collective voices heard throughout city, parish, and state government, and in the business community as well.

Being a member of the Winnsboro-Franklin Parish Chamber of Commerce is a small investment that pays dividends in so many different ways.
