The Old Post Office Museum Next Exhibit
“Poverty Point: A World Treasure”
(March 26 – May 22)
Named last year as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (one of only 22 in the United States), Poverty Point is one of the world’s greatest archaeological treasures. The site is outstanding because of its widespread trade network and is the largest, most complex U.S archaeological site of its age. This educational exhibit will feature the photography of Jenny Ellerbe, the artwork of Martin Pate (on loan from the Louisiana Office of State Parks), and artifacts from the site provided by Poverty Point Archaeologist Diana Greenlee.

If you would like to make a donation toward the scholarships, contact Jane Clark at the Chamber Office, 435-4488. Tickets for the banquet are $10 and may be purchased in April at the Chamber Office located in the Old Post Office Museum.
